The Curragh stage the final of the August Summer Series this Saturday, with the eight race programme featuring a variety of initiatives to raise funds for Cancer Trials Ireland including the Pat Smullen Cancer Trials Ireland Charity Race supported by Ballylinch Stud.
The Paddy Power supporting Cancer Trials Ireland Cambridgeshire will be one of the feature races with fifteen horses declared to run. These include last year’s runner up State Actor, Genuine Article, Glen to Glen, Bear Profit, Coeur D’Or, Big Gossey and, Blues Emperor. The William Haggas trained Godwinson will ensure a strong overseas trained challenge for the €100,000 contest.
The John Gosden trained Sand Gazelle is one of eight runners in the Group 3 Snow Fairy Stakes The home trained team include Red Letter, Barnavara, Snellen and Azada.
Moments of Joy, Queen of Hawaii and Sugar Island feature among the seven runners in the Group 3 Newtownanner Stud Stakes
There are eleven runners declared to run in the Heider Family Stables Round Tower Stakes including recent Curragh winners Mission Central and Ipanema Queen, Mushaffar, Magny Cours, Learntodiscover and Red Earth.
There are 8 runners in the opening John Ormonde Wexford Sand Maiden, eight in the Kildare House Hotel Nursery and twenty five runners in the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Apprentice Handicap.
The Pat Smullen Cancer Trials Ireland Charity Race, supported by Ballylinch Stud, will feature twenty one riders including former jockeys Pat Shanahan, Barry Lacy and Davy Condon.
