As part of the schedule of events over the weekend, we are delighted to announce that the prestigious Ashford Castle Style Icon Award will return to the racecourse on Saturday, 24th May, when elegance and excitement will converge.
Racegoers can expect a vibrant mix of high fashion and top-class racing as attendees compete for the Ashford Castle Style Icon Award while enjoying the excitement of Ireland’s first Classic races of the season.
One lucky racegoer will be crowned the Ashford Castle Style Icon by renowned stylist and TV personality, Marietta Doran, alongside Lisa Toomey, Hotel Director of Quality at Ashford Castle. The winner will be whisked away to experience the ultimate luxury: a two-night stay for two in a magnificent Junior State Room in Ireland’s first and only Forbes Five Star Hotel and Spa, the 5-star Ashford Castle in County Mayo.

The fashion festivities will begin at 11:30am, with a complimentary glass of the Curragh’s exclusive Whispering Angel rosé served on arrival at the beautifully decorated Style Marquee. The announcement of the Ashford Castle Style Icon will take place at approximately 2:30pm.
Throughout the weekend, racing enthusiasts can revel in the electrifying action of the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas and Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas, where Europe’s finest horses will race for Classic glory. The much popular Curragh Carnival also returns on Sunday 25th May, promising fun for all the family with entertainment, activities, and much more!
Early Bird Tickets are available now from just €20, and under-18s go free across the weekend when accompanied by an adult.
