Artist of the Curragh!
Could you be our next Artist of the Curragh?
We are delighted to launch the 2026-2027 Artist of the Curragh competition, open to artists from across County Kildare. Come along on Goffs Million Raceday, Sat 26th September, to see five finalists capture their interpretation of a Curragh raceday scene. The overall winner will receive a €1500 commission, with their finished work proudly displayed at the Curragh throughout 2027.
The 2027 Artist of the Curragh will be chosen by renowned Irish artist, Jason O’Ceannobháin. Based in County Kildare, Jason is a full-time professional artist whose work has been exhibited in galleries and auction houses throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom, and collected internationally. Jason specialises in equine and wildlife subjects.

Beyond the Finish Line!
Continuing our celebration of creativity, the Curragh, together with Bermingham Cameras invites photographers to capture the unique bond between horses and humans in Irish racing, focusing on the love, care, and dedication that go into caring for racehorses. Whether taken on a race day, during training sessions, or daily routines, your images should highlight this incredible connection. Closing date for entries is Monday 21st September. Entry must be made through this link.
Come along on Goffs Million Day, where the top 10 Photographs will be displayed and the finalists chosen. Last year’s winner with his entry ‘Big Gossey’ was amateur photographer, Paul Dempsey.
Meet Korbous
Come along on Saturday and meet Korbous, the Curragh’s cutest ambassador. 17 years old and one of the most experienced horses you’ll meet today. Korbous has won five races for his trainer, Richard Brabazon and now lives at Richard’s yard on The Curragh helping younger horses settle in.
We’ll also have the RACE Simulator on hand for your chance to experience the excitement of riding a racehorse!
The Mini Millions
