Royal Ascot winners Great Barrier Reef and Victorious are two of fifteen contenders among the entries for the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes following this morning’s forfeit stage. Both trained by Aidan O’Brien who last won the Group 1 contest with Little Big Bear in 2022, they will face tough opposition from recent Goodwood runner up Adaay of Scarlett, trained by Hugo Palmer, who landed the race with Ebro River in 2021, while Richmond Stakes winner Man’s Best Friend, GAIN Railway Stakes winner Celeron, Airlie Stud Stakes winner Sun Goddess, Velozee trained by Paddy Twomey and the Joseph O’Brien trained King of Cloughan also feature amongst the potential star studded line up
Prolific Curragh specialist Big Gossey is one of eight entries in the FBD Hotels and Resorts Phoenix Stakes. A strong British trained team features Big Mojo and James’s Delight, while Bucanero Fuerte, Keke, Sarahmae, The Highway Rate and Bodhi Bear are also amongst the entries for the Group 3 contest
