Owners, Trainers and Stable Staff
We continue to comply with both governmental and industry regulations in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and maintain a range of measures across our operations to best protect all our patrons.
The on-course experience for all stakeholders has changed, significantly so in some areas of our business, however we endeavour to ensure we deliver the best experience possible.
If you are fully vaccinated and have your covid cert there is no need to self isolate. However if you do not have this you will have to follow the self-isolations restrictions is now arrive with a negative PCR and self-isolate for 5 day and on day 5 get retested then on production of another negative test (results take 24-48 hours) they will be able to attend. You will have to do the IHRB health screening on the day prior to your attending.

Before You Arrive
Complete the IHRB screening process online, on the day of racing. Barcodes for the race meeting will be received within approx. 15 minutes of application. New attendees can also apply on the day of the race meeting. Any questions on this please contact https://www.racehorseownership.ie/BCD/
Owners and Trainers please park in the Main Car Park (Car Park A)
On arrival at the Main entrance all racegoers will be required to:
A member of The Curragh Racecourse team will be on hand to welcome owners back to the track and will answer any questions you may have.
Face Masks must be worn at all times whilst in the parade ring. Please make sure you bring a mask with you.
Owners for each horse will be allowed into the parade ring before each race and winning owners will be able to go back in after each race.
Food and Beverages
All owners will be provided with one complementary food voucher per person. All vaccinated owners will need to provide a copy of their Covid Cert and will be able to redeem their voucher in Oaks Restaurant on the second floor. All non vaccinated owners or those without their Covid Cert will be able to redeem their voucher from Orby's restaurant just inside the main entrance.
Tea and coffee will be complimentary as well. Under Covid -19 regulations all food and beverages must be consumed while seated.
We will have a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available at each meeeting. Table service may cause delays in some areas and we ask for your patience and understanding of this mandatory rule.
There will be bathroom facilities available just outside of Oaks Restaurant on the second floor and will also be available in Orby’s, as well as additional toilets located around the parade ring.
Accessible toilets are also available around the racecourse.

Overseas owners: can enter if fully vaccinated as normal however if not fully vaccinated (14 days post 2nd injection) they will have to enter the country on negative PCR to be able to enter the racecourse. This also includes Irish Owners who are returning from abroad. The IHRB medical questionnaire must be filled out each race day. (each day if you have a runner more than 1 day)
All winning owners will receive a memento, photograph and recording of the race from The Curragh and race sponsor.
All trainers must register to attend with the races by logging onto http://www.ihrb.ie/health-screening and follow instructions.

Overseas based runners
We very much welcome the return of overseas trained runners compete during our 2021 season.
With the change in restrictions once your staff is fully vaccinated they can attend and look after their horse. Proof of vaccination will need to be sent to our CMO for approval in advance, alternatively you can send your horse to an Irish Trainer and The Curragh will cover all relevant costs. If you require a stable for a companion horse, please let us know as soon as possible as stables are allocated at time of declarations. If available we will facilitate this.
All members of stable staff attending the races must register to attend with the races by logging onto http://www.ihrb.ie/health-screening and following instructions.
All races offer a prize awarded to the groom who looks after the horse judged to be best turned out. In many races, the grooms in charge of the winning horse will also receive a prize.
The Curragh and TRM also provide additional prizes to the winning groom of the Best Turned Out prize for every race at the Curragh and each winner will receive free entry into an end of season draw.
Our Stable Staff canteen is closed due to current Covid 10 protocols, but all stable staff are entitled to a complimentary lunch voucher generously sponsored by Moyglare Stud
CURRAGH STABLE YARD
