The Curragh and DMG Media launch new Challenge Race Series
The Curragh is delighted to announce details of a new race series taking place during the month of August. The DMG Media Racing Challenge is a series of four races taking place over four individual race days in August, with the first race on Sunday 8th August.
The Challenge will be based on a points system with the jockey and trainer of the first four placed horses in all four races awarded points as follows:
Winner 10 points Second 8 points Third 5 points Fourth 3 points
The overall winning jockey will be presented with a magnificent trophy and a cheque for €500.00 The winning trainer with the most points following all four races will win a trophy and €500.00 which DMG Media will donate to the charity of the trainer’s choice. DMG Media will also present a trophy to the winning owner of all four races.
Races:
8th August: DMG Media Fillies 3yo+ Maiden - 7f
13th August: DMG Media Maiden 3yo+ - 1m. 2f
21st August: DMG Media 3yo+ Fillies Handicap - 1m4f
27th August: DMG Media Nursery Handicap - 7f
