Siskin aims to give Ger Lyons his first Irish Group 1 success

Siskin, winner of GAIN Railway Stakes will attempt to give trainer Ger Lyons his first Group 1 winner in Ireland when he lines up in the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh tomorrow evening 9th August

He will face stiff opposition for trainer Aidan O’Brien who has won the race an unprecedented sixteen times and will be represented by Monarch of Egypt, Royal Lytham and Mount Fuji. The John Murphy trained Think Big completes the five runners in the 300,000 euro contest.

Servalan, Beckford, Buffer Zone and Gordon Lord Byron feature among the nine runners in the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club Phoenix Sprint.

1st of 7 races 5.15pm, with the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes off at 6.50pm
