Significant number of entries for Curragh finale of 2021
The final race day of the 2021 season at the Curragh takes place next Tuesday 26th October and has attracted 255 horses over eight races, following the publication of entries. Declared runners will be published on Sunday.
Leo De Fury, Raise You, Barbados, Micro Mirage are notable entries in the Paddy Power Amateur Riders Derby. The 12 furlongs contest has attracted a total of twenty eight horses. The Joseph O’Brien trained Point Gellibrand feature among the 11 entries for the Paddy Power Play Card Nursery, with Cyclamen and Madonnadelrosario set to represent his father Aidan.
12 riders are set to line up in inaugural Horseware Student Derby which will bring the season to a close. The innovative race, which is the brainchild of Riley Dargan, Paddy Barlow and the Curragh Racecourse, is the first of its kind which will feature the top riders from each of the universities of the European Student Horseracing Federation (ESHF), competing over the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby track of 12 furlongs (2400 metres).

Admission tickets are on sale at €10 to include complimentary racecard and must be pre purchased by going to www.curragh.ie/tickets. No cash ticket purchase is available on race day. Under 18s free accompanied by an adult.
