Some of the leading two year olds in training are set to line up in the two feature races at The Curragh this Saturday 22nd August, following the publication of entries today.
The O’Brien family will play a major part in both races with Donnacha O’Brien expected to be represented by recent Leopardstown winner Shale in the A.R.M Holding Debutante Stakes. The daughter of Galileo is set to renew rivalry with Pretty Gorgeous for his brother Joseph, who also has entered Sense of Style in the Group 2 contest.
Aidan O’Brien who has won the race 12 times has a strong team of entries with Finest, More Beautiful, Mother Earth and Snowfall.
Dubai Fountain, recent runner up in the Sweet Solaro Stakes for trainer Mark Johnston and the Charlie Hills trained Prado, successful at Salisbury last month on the only start of her career, are also among the 15 entries.
Jessica Harrington, who trained Alpine Star to win the race last year, has three entries including Roscommon Maiden winner No Speak Alexander, while Jim Bolger, who has won the race three times in the past, has entered Allagar and Meala.
The Jessica Harrington trained Cadillac, winner of his only start at Leopardstown, is one of 18 entries in the Galileo Futurity Stakes. Aidan O’Brien, who has won the previous four runnings of the Group 2 contest has 7 remaining in the race, including Military Style, St Mark’s Basilica and Van Gogh.
State of Rest and Liffey River, recent runner up on his only start in Gowran Park, are among the 4 entries for Joseph O’Brien, while brother Donnacha has entered Southern Cape. Trusted Ally trained by Michael O’Callaghan, the Ger Lyons trained pair of Masen and To Glory and the Jim Bolger trained Eastern Voice and Mac Swiney are other notable contenders.
Make A Challenge, Romantic Proposal and Speak in Colours are among the 19 entries in the A.R.M Holding Curragh Sprint.
