27 runners to line up for Paddy Power Irish Cambridgeshire

Group 1 winners Shale and Champers Elysees are among the 14 runners who will line up in the Snow Fairy Stakes taking place at The Curragh this Friday evening.  The Group 3 contest has also attracted other notable contenders including Solene Lilyette, I Siyou Baby, Oodnadatta, Lovely Esteem, My Generation and Flirting Bridge.

The Joseph O’Brien trained Toshizou looks likely to start favourite in the Paddy Power Irish Cambridgeshire.  The €80,000 contest has attracted a full field of 27 runners with other notable challengers including last year’s winner Laughifuwant, the Dermot Weld trained Crystal Black and Carrytheone trained by the inform Johnny Murtagh, while trainer Adrian McGuinness will be represented by five runners including Saltonstall and recent Galway winner Sirjack Thomas. 

The unbeaten Sacred Bridge steps up to Group race company for the first time in the Heider Family Stables Round Tower Stakes, having won the valuable Irish EBF Ballyhane Race on his most recent start. The Ger Lyons trained two-year-old is one of 12 runners, who also include Cowboy Justice, Orinoco River, Ladies Church, Pennine Hills, The Entertainer and The Acropolis. The Tom Dascombe trained Sam Maximus is the sole British trained runner, having finished third in the Group 2 July Stakes and fourth in the Prix de Cabourg recently

Seven two years old fillies will go to post in the Manguard Plus Flame of Tara Stakes.  Notable runners in the Group 3 contest include Albula, Magical Lagoon, She’s Trouble and the Aidan O’Brien trained pair of Kiss You Later and Lullaby.

Howth, Malayan and Tut Tut are among the 10 runners in the DMG Media Nursery, the final in the four race Challenge series, while there are 25 runners in the Bord Na Mona Recycling Apprentice Handicap, 16 in the TRI Equestrian Handicap and 10 in the Irish Stallions Farms Maiden, which starts the 8 race programme at 4.15pm
