Goffs adds Champagne Bar Sponsorship to The Curragh Support

Ahead of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Weekend, Goffs is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Champagne Bar at The Curragh in partnership with Moët & Chandon.

This latest sponsorship enhances the association between Ireland’s premier auction house and The Curragh racecourse which includes the ongoing support of the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend as well as the staging of Europe’s richest two-year-old race, the Goffs Million, in September.

Next year the Goffs Million will evolve into the Goffs Two Million Series for graduates of this year’s Orby Book 1 and Orby Book 2 yearling sales which includes the addition of the Goffs 500, worth €500,000, to be held on the same card as the Goffs Million.  Together with the G1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes, it will see a significant boost to the prize money available across all Goffs races at the Curragh which will rise to a guaranteed minimum of €1.9 million, making the Goffs portfolio that highest value of any sponsor in 2024.

Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby commented "Goffs is delighted to increase our presence at the home of flat racing in Ireland through sponsorship of The Goffs Champagne Bar at The Curragh.  Overlooking the parade ring and close to the action on track, the Goffs Champagne Bar is in a prime location with world class facilities that will enhance the race day experience for all racegoers.  Goffs is all about celebrating the racehorse and, together with the Curragh’s official champagne partner Moët & Chandon, we look forward to adding to the elegance and atmosphere of Irish Derby weekend and at all future meetings.

This is a further step in our historic and strong relationship with the Curragh that is headed by our Group 1 sponsorship and valuable Goffs Million and new Two Million Series”.

Welcoming the sponsorship, Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive of The Curragh added “Goffs have been a true friend and supporter of the Curragh for many years through their Group 1 sponsorship and running of the Goffs Million, and the racecourse has been a happy hunting ground for Goffs graduates. We are delighted to welcome Goffs as sponsors of our champagne bar and look forward to a long and happy association.”

Speaking of the partnership, Moët Hennessy Brand Director, Elaine Cullen said, “Whether it’s partnering another premium brand in Goffs, sharing success and glamour with the world has been Moët & Chandon’s inspiration, passion and raison d'être for nearly three centuries. The Curragh is the home of the most thrilling sporting moments and stunning fashion, providing those attending with first class service, which this year will be paired perfectly with the world’s best loved champagne, Moët & Chandon, enhancing each toast with the spark of effervescence.”
