The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Weekend which kicks off the 2020 season at The Curragh on 12th and 13th June will feature an outstanding line up of the top horses in training over both days.
Entries for four of the top races taking place over the weekend closed yesterday.
The Group 2 Coolmore Magna Grecia Mooresbridge Stakes promises to be a fascinating contest with Japan, Madhmoon and Search For A Song winner of the Comer Group International Irish St Leger last year among the 22 entries. Other notable entries in the Group 2 contest include 2018 Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby winner Latrobe, 2019 Epsom Derby winner Anthony Dyck and the much travelled Group 1 winner Magic Wand.
Trainer Denis Hogan is likely to be strongly represented in the Group 2 Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes with both Make A Challenge and Sceptical among the 19 entries. 2017 winner of the race Gordon Lord Byron, Buffer Zone and Gustavus Weston, together with the British trained pair Miss Celestial and Queen Jo Jo also feature.
Magical is the stand out entry in the Group 2 Lanwades Stud Stakes, while trainer William Haggas who landed the race last year with Beshaayir has entered the unbeaten Miss O Connor
Dual Group 1 winner Circus Maximus is one of 17 entries in the Coolmore Calyx Gladness Stakes.
Four fillies were added to the Irish Oaks following the second entry stage yesterday. The Jessica Harrington trained Flor De La Luna, Moll trained by Paddy Twomey and the Ger Lyons trained pair of Thunder Kiss and Lemista now feature among the 73 entered for the Group 1 Classic taking place on 18th July
