Dual Leger Winner Search for a Song set to line up in Sunday feature

Declared runners for Day 2 of the William Hill Autumn Festival taking place at the Curragh this weekend was published earlier today with eleven two year old fillies lining up in the Group 3 Weld Park Stakes and a competitive field of nine in the Group 3 Raa Atoll Loughbrown Stakes

Sunday’s featured Raa Atoll Loughbrown Stakes has attracted nine runners. These include dual Comer Group International Irish St Leger winner Search For A Song, Barrington Court, Silence Please and recent English St Leger third The Mediterranean.  Aircraft Carrier and Seattle Sound are set to represent the race sponsor Luke Comer. 

There are eleven runners in the Weld Park Stakes with notable contenders including Albula, Cigamia, Tranquil Lady, Trevaunance, Concert Hall and Sunset Shiraz, together with Hello You and Lovely Mana, both trained in Britain by David Loughnane.

Strong Johnson, Laugh A Minute and Provocateuse are among the 17 runners  in the valuable William Hill Ireland Joe McGrath Handicap, while there are 20 runners in the Tesoro Vita Ladies Trophy open to both amateur and female riders with sponsor TRI Equestrian presenting a voucher for €1,000 to the winning jockey.

Declared runners for Day 1 of the William Hill Autumn Festival were published yesterday. Trainer Aidan O’Brien will attempt to win the featured Alan Smurfit Memorial Beresford Stakes for an unprecedented 21st time with impressive Killarney Maiden winner Luxembourg. His son Donnacha will to be represented by Piz Badile, while Joseph O’Brien has Galway maiden winner Swan Bay.  Other runners are the Jim Bolger trained Manu Et Corde, Tuwaiq trained by Ger Lyons and the Johnny Murtagh trained Chicago Soldier who will carry the colours of Tony Smurfit.

The William Hill Ireland Renaissance Stakes has attracted nine runners including Art Power trained in Britain by Tim Easterby. Home trained contenders for the Group 3 sprint include Measure of Magic, Speak in Colours, Teresa Mendoza and Twilight Spinner.
