The title of champion jockey at the Curragh this year has never been closer with four riders in contention for the 2020 title as the County Kildare venue approaches its final two race days of the year this Monday and the following Friday.
Currently Colin Keane holds a one winner advantage with 17 winners over Seamus Heffernan on 16 winners, while Wayne Lordan has 15 victories with Shane Foley close behind on 14 wins
The competitive 8 race programme this Monday will by fascinating with all four riders having plenty of chances of success.
Keane has a strong book of six rides including Pretty Boy Floyd, Miss Molly T and The Mediterranean. Notable among Heffernan’s five rides is the beautifully bred Joan Of Arc for trainer Aidan O’Brien in the first race, while Foley has five rides include Maloja for Jessica Harrington in the 1st race and Diamil for Michael Halford in the 2nd race. Lordan has five rides during the afternoon including Queen’s Speech and Sir Lamorak in the 1st and 2nd races for Aidan O’Brien.
