Group 1 winners Magical, Star Catcher, Search for a Song, Magic Wand, Albigna and Love are among the sixty six entries for the Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes. The first entry stage for the Group 1 contest closed on Wednesday.
Other notable entries including the John Gosden trained Fanny Logan, Terebellum and Mehdaayih, the Amanda Perrett trained Lavender’s Blue owned by Benny Anderssen of Abba fame, Magic Lily trained by Charlie Appleby, Miss O Connor, Born with Pride and Domino Darling trained by William Haggas who landed the race in 2018 with Urban Fox and Fancy Blue trained by Donnacha O’Brien, while his brother Joseph who won the race last year with Iridessa currently has five entries in the race.
Kameko has been added to Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas field following the second entry stage for the Group 1 Classic which closed yesterday with a total of fifty nine entries. The Andrew Balding trained performer was one of the leading two year olds in Europe last year having won the Group 1 Vertem Futurity Stakes. While seventy one fillies remain in the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas including seven who were added to the race at the second entry stage yesterday. These include the Ger Lyons trained Even So and New York Girl trained by Joseph O’Brien.
The Japanese trained globe trotting mare Deirdre is still an intended starter for the Tattersalls Gold Cup and is one of thirty eight contenders still remaining in the Group 1 race that also include Magical, Anthony Van Dyck, Barney Roy, Elarqam, Ghaiyyath, Japan, Headman, Kew Gardens, Latrobe, Madhmoon, Search for A Song and Magic Wand
