Albigna looks likely to get the nod over Alpine Star to represent Jessica Harrington and the Niarchos family in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes on Sunday at the Curragh.
The €400,000 race is shaping up to be a cracker and Moone handler Harrington has an embarrassment of riches in the shape of the two juvenile fillies, who have created a huge impression this season. She is leaving a decision until as late as possible but makes one horse more likely than the other to partake.
Both Alpine Star and Albigna have been towards the summit of the early betting for the Curragh heat. The trainer said: "Only one of them will run.
"Right now, I think Albigna is the one who will. They are two wonderful fillies and it's a pleasure to train them.
"Alpine Star has only the three runs and Albigna only two. They're still learning. I'm delighted with them both.
"Albigna has been great since her last win at the Curragh. I've just watched her work there," the trainer added on Monday morning, "and she looks like she is getting stronger.
"I'll talk to connections before Sunday, but it'll be one of them taking her chance, probably Albigna. Both are doing very well."
Albigna, by Zoffany, has been exceptionally tough in both her outings, winning the Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh last time.
