Aidan O’Brien has won the Wootton Bassett Futurity Stakes a remarkable fifteen times and will be represented in the Group 2 contest on Saturday by Henry Longfellow and Portland. Other contenders are the Joseph O’Brien trained Islandsinthestream, Spanish Flame trained by Ger Lyons and Courageous Strike trained by last week’s Group 1 winning trainer Adrian Murray.

Chesham Stakes winner Snellen is one of 8 fillies confirmed to run in the Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes. The Group 2 contest has also attracted Pearls and Rubies, Sakti, Vespertilio, Dollerina, Kalispera and Betula, while Niarchos Racing, who sponsor the race, rely on the Jessica Harrington trained Mysteries

The competitive programme also features 9 runners in the Neville O’Byrne Memorial EBF Handicap, 22 in the Holden Plant Rental Handicap, 15 in the Keeper’s Heart Irish and Bourbon Whiskey 16 runners in the Bord Na Mona Recycling Maiden, 13 in the Sheehy Motor’s CUPRA Maiden and 13 in the opening Coolmore Stud Arizona Maiden
