18 runners to line up in Tote Irish Cesarewitch at Curragh this Sunday

Themed as the Curragh Community Race Day, the eight race programme at the Curragh this Sunday features the Tote Irish Cesarewitch with 18 runners lining up in the 100,000 euro contest. Notable among the contenders are the Willie Mullins trained Saglawy, Lever Du Soleil trained by Gavin Cromwell, Shamad trained by Pat Fahey and Rock De Baune trained by John Kiely

Make A Challenge will attempt to land his third success at the Curragh this year when the Denis Hogan trained performer lines up in the Waterford Testimonial Stakes.   He is one of 10 runners in the Listed race over six furlongs, which also features Downforce, Flight Risk, Romantic Proposal and Fairy Falcon trained in Britain by Brian Smart

Auxilia, Fancy Blue, Shehreen,, A New Dawn and Celestial Object are among the 8 runners in the Staffordstown Stud Stakes, while Lil Grey, Arranmore and French Rain are among 8 runners in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Legacy Stakes

1st race 1.35pm with 114 runners declared over eight races. Gates open 12 noon

Ground: Round – Yielding to Soft ; Straight – Soft.  Racing on stand side track. Stalls in centre for all sprint races

Live music from local artists The Hideout and Gordon Turner, 3 piece traditional band, Ladlane. There will be free kids activities from 12-6pm including a petting farm, face painter, glitter tattoos and the Racing Academy simulator.
