Strong British trained team set for Curragh Finale this Sunday

8 British trained horses are among the 36 entries in the featured Irish Cesarewitch taking place at the Curragh’s final race day of 2014 this Sunday. They include two entries from last year’s winning trainer Brian Ellison with Zaidiyn and Zeus Magic, together with the Mick Channon trained Elidor, third in the Ebor Handicap last August and the Amanda Perrett trained Blue Surf. The home trained team for the 100,000 euro contest features the Aidan O’Brien trained Marchese Marconi, who was runner up in last year’s Irish Cesarewitch, while he also has El Salvador among the entries. Ted Veale and Thomas Edison trained by Tony Martin, the Dermot Weld trained Hidden Universe and the lightly raced John Oxx trained Cailini Alainn who won at Leopardstown in August also feature, while Clondaw Warrior, Digeanta and McKinley are interesting entries for trainer Willie Mullins

Jeanne Girl, Run The Red Light and Together Forever feature in the Staffordstown Stud Stakes, with the British trained trio of Encore I’Amour, Montalcino and the Godophin owned Yodelling also among the 23 entries for this Listed race contest
Viztoria, Russian Soul and Leitir Mor catch the eye among the 15 entries in the Go Racing in Kildare Waterford Testimonial Stakes, while Certerach, Inis Meain, Tarara and the British trained pair of Battalion and Second Step are among the 24 entries in the Listed Finale Stakes
