Ballymacoll Stud to sponsor International Stakes

Ballymacoll Stud will join the illustrious list of race sponsors at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival for the first time this year. The world famous Thoroughbred breeding operation will sponsor the Group 3 Ballymacoll Stud Celebrating 50 Years International Stakes on Saturday 26th June to celebrate 50 years of business under the ownership of the Weinstock & Sobell families.

“Ballymacoll Stud are delighted to sponsor the International Stakes at the Curragh Racecourse, the home of the Irish Classics, where we have been successful with Classic winners Gaily, Troy, Helen Street and Spectrum,” said Peter Reynolds, Managing Director of Ballymacoll Stud

Located in County Meath, Ballymacoll has produced 27 individual Group 1 winners of 51 Group 1 races. Included in this total are 4 Breeders’ Cups, 3 Derbys, 2 Oaks, 3 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes and many more of the top races around the globe. Stars of the equine world who have carried the famous racing colours of the Stud include Troy, Pilsudski, Sun Princess, Islington, North Light and last year’s Breeders Cup hero Conduit.
