Curragh Racecourse to embrace Rugby World Cup
The Curragh is offering free admission to anyone wearing an Irish rugby jersey when they come racing on Sunday 11th October. The promotion has been launched to celebrate the Ireland v France game which will be shown on screens throughout the racecourse following the last race at 4.45pm.
Evan Arkwright, Commercial Manager of the racecourse, commented:
“Horse Racing and Rugby are two of Ireland’s most successful sports and we are delighted to have the opportunity to promote both of them on the same day with a variety of initiatives to make the day a fun experience for everyone”
The day, which features the 100,000 euro Tote Irish Cesarewitch, will also have a strong military theme to promote the close association between the Defence Forces and the Racecourse with exhibitions and display from the Army, Navy and Air Corps.
